Sausages

In association to what our dear Steven tagged, I must say one FACT FOR TODAY: I HATE SAUSAGES! I DON'T LIKE THEM... Hahaha, so I'm not gay!

Now in case you wondering, I can assure you that this article has been certified PG though the title looks a bit dubious!

Do you know what on earth is inside a sausage? Have you ever seen what goes into the sausage during the manufacturing process?

If you do notice nowadays at the supermarket, the chicken meat and what you have it have less fat in them. Not just meat... Milk, mayonnaise, the list just goes on and on... Everything has reduced fat or cream content. Where do all of them go? To the bin? One might wish for it to be true, but in reality, it's not! Which company in the right frame mind of mind (though selfish as well) would want to go through the hassle of removing extra cream for u and then throw it away?

The Solution: Put it into processed foods. Sausages, chicken nuggets... all the chicken fat and skin goes into this. If you don't believe me, buy some sausage rolls, bite it and take a look inside and tell me what you see. The sausages here have to be those that come out straight from the machines. Those red sausages that you see have been coloured and processed even more to make it look, taste and feel more like meat when in fact it isn't!

What about the cream? It all goes to ice cream! That's what it's name is for... Ice cream nowadays have higher cream contents than what they used to have. Which girl will go look at the amount of cream in an ice-cream container and compare it? They just say that they're on a diet when it comes to normal food, and binge on ice-cream after that! It really makes me wonder if they deserve to say that boys think with their ehem instead of their brains. Hello girls, you aren't making sense either! (Okay, I think I just made a whole lot of girl enemies there. But I've got no choice. I've got to... In order to stop people from calling me a flirt! Gotta be mean sometimes :D)

So theoretically, while we may be drinking low-fat milk, we're actually eating more fats found in other parts of our food. Is the F&B industry right to do this? People simply don't want fats, and u just have to put it into their diets to cut down your losses! Now, I'm not saying that all food companies do the same thing. There are certain ones that still believe in giving their customers what they believe to be best for them! Take for example... Rama's favourite Kettle's chips. It's got no MSG in it, yet they do not go around advertising it. Instead they keep a low-profile and believe that customers who have tried it will maintain faith in their products. Now this is what I call true entrepreneuship just like our dear MO's VTC! Maintaining customers' faith. That's what's most important.

Now, should we be careful about our food? Well, a little perhaps, or else we won't be able to enjoy our lives... After all, food is what we thrive on right, Crystal? Haha... All your chips and snacks, no one else can compare to you. Haha! Everyone know that bak chor mee is not good, but everyone still eats it! It's just so good, it's worth dying for. Until then, we'd better thank the F&B industry for allowing us to keep our lovely full-cream dairy milk...
